Meet the Cornerstone Leadership Team
Senior Pastor Andrew Kay
Pastor Andrew Kay is married to his wife Amanda. He has two grown up children.
They have been part of the church here in Evenwood for many years, but only took over the leadership of Cornerstone in September 2021. Pastor Andrew's day job is primary school deputy headteacher. Amanda is a mobile hairdresser.
They live in Evenwood with one of their children and their three noisy dogs!
Lots of new community events have recently started. Check out Cornerstone's Facebook page for updates and upcoming events.
You are invited to come along on the journey with us, to be part of what is going on in Cornerstone.
It is a real honour and privilege to serve the people in our locality.
Their prayer is for everyone to feel welcome at Cornerstone, for God to change hearts and lives through the power of His Holy Spirit and to recognise the awesome gift of salvation through Jesus Christ His Son.
They desire that you will know the truth of Jesus’ words every day: “I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.” (John 10:10).
Pastor Norman Dennis
Pastor Norman Dennis is one of the Deacons at Cornerstone. He has been in ministry since 1990, having served as a pastor in Iceland, UK, Gambia, and Kuwait.
He has worked for the Salvation Army, the National Evangelical Church of Kuwait and have established several independent fellowships including serving Chaplain to the American Embassy Church also whilst in Kuwait.
He is a licensed Christian counsellor, and since returning to the UK, has been his main focus.
Currently he enjoys worshipping, ministering and fellowshipping at Cornerstone.
He is married to Janice. They have two children, six grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
Pastor John Campbell
Pastor John Campbell one of our Deacons. He is married to his wife, Pauline. They retired in 2021 after 43 years pastoring five Elim Pentecostal Churches and now live in Cockfield.
They have 4 children, Peter, Tricia, Luke and Ben and four grandchildren.
He was also a Chaplain at the West Cumberland Hospital in Whitehaven, West Cumbria, for 10 years.
They love living in Cockfield now, with our fox-red Labrador, Finne. He makes sure that they don’t get lazy!
Finding Cornerstone was a gift of God to them and they have found friendship and anointing here that has really helped them to settle and relax after what was a difficult last two years in ministry during Covid.
They now look forward to seeing what God is doing in the Church and what He is calling them to do.
They are looking forward to doing anything that needs to be done. There will be plenty to do as the Lord Jesus Christ continues to build His Church here in the Gaunless Valley.
